2012 Movies In the Park Line-Up

The movie line-up for the 2012 Movies in the Park have been announced.  The dates are listed below, so that you can start making plans to attend. Movies in the Park will be happening every Thursday night in June & July at Bywater’s Park in Downtown Paris, Texas! There will be drinks, home made goodies, popcorn and glo necklaces and bracelets. Lawn chairs are allowed. This is a great activity for the whole family.

Here is the list of movies as well as their ratings and information about the movie. We look forward to seeing everyone out there again!

Ghostbusters on June 7th

Rated: PG

Running time: 105 minutes

Starring: Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Sigourney Weaver

Three scientists are fired from a university in NYC where they studied the occult. So they set up shop in an old firehouse and become Ghostbusters, trapping ghosts, spirits, haunts, and poltergeists for money.


Lion King on June 14th

Rated: G

Running time: 89 minutes

Starring: Matthew Broderick, Jeremy Irons and James Earl Jones

Tricked into thinking he killed his father, a guilt ridden lion cub flees into exile and abandons his identity as the future King.


Seabiscuit on June 21st

Rated: PG-13

Running time: 140 minutes

Starring: Tobey Maguire, Jeff Bridges and Elizabeth Banks

True story of the undersized Depression-era racehorse whose victories lifted not only the spirits of the team behind it but also those of their nation.


Iron Man on June 28th

Running time: 126 minutes

Starring: Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow and Terrence Howard

When wealthy industrialist Tony Stark is forced to build an armored suit after a life-threatening incident, he ultimately decides to use its technology to fight against evil.


Charlie Chaplin Modern Times on July 5th

Rated: G

Running time: 87 minutes

Starring: Charles Chaplin, Paulette Goddard and Henry Bergman

The Tramp struggles to live in modern industrial society with the help of a young homeless woman.


Finding Nemo on July 12th

Rated: G

Running time: 100 minutes

Starring: Albert Brooks, Ellen DeGeneres and Alexander Gould

After his son is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney, a timid clownfish sets out on a journey to bring him home.


My Girl on July 19th

Rated: PG-13

Running time: 102 minutes

Starring: Anna Chlumsky, Macaulay Culkin and Dan Aykroyd

Vada Sultenfuss is obsessed with death. Her mother is dead, and her father runs a funeral parlor. She is also in love with her English teacher, and joins a poetry class over the summer just to impress him. Thomas J., her best friend, is “allergic to everything”, and sticks with Vada despite her hangups.
