The 2012 Paris Texas Antique Fair brought collectors and vendors from all over the nation. On October 12th-13th, everyone was invited to come out to the Red River Valley Fairgrounds and enjoy the festivities brought to you by Two Rivers Antiques. The annual event featured Hand Picked Dealers, Antique Appraisals, Delicious Food, Vintage Trailer Tours, and Free Husband Parking! Among the many exciting happenings “Sisters on the Fly” were on-site in support of Casting Recovery, and “Women Rock Inc.” were there supporting Breast Cancer Awareness. A dollar for every ticket sold went to support the Susan G. Komen Foundati0n for breast cancer research and awareness. Janet Green and her team did a phenomenal job at bringing all of this together and we can’t wait until next year! Immediately following the Antique Fair, everyone flocked to the “Party on the Plaza”. Several local merchants like “Sweet D”, “Two Rivers antique Mall”, “Lillian Kelley’s” “Spangler’s”, “Paris Baby”, “Creative Candy”, “Gypsy Chic”, “Bois D’ Arc” “Sisters in the Fly”, “Itsy Bitsy Spider”, “Subway”, and “The Paris Community Theatre” joined in the celebration passing out drinks and goodies. Live music from “The Draggin’ Man Band” & “Alex Addy & the Tambourine Machine” drew people to the fountain as they rocked out.
As the Party on the Plaza wound down, the crowd shifted over to LMAO Comedy as Daryl Felsberg hosted the Original Texas Alley Cats. Daryl’s 10 year old son Garret had the crowd rolling as he tried to power through the introductions. The dueling piano act consisting of “Joe Kozera”, and “Karl Berkebile” packed the house as the played songs like “Don’t Stop Believing “ , “Living on a Prayer”, and “Great Balls of Fire”.
The Paris Downtown Association planned the perfect after party!
