2012 Tour de Paris Info
The 28th annual Tour de Paris Rally is coming up soon! Before you know it, the 21st will be here and we want you to be ready! Pre-registration and packet pick-up will be at Plano Cycling & Richardson Bike Mart on Saturday, July 14th from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can register late and get your packets on July 20th, the day before the Rally from 5-8 p.m. at the Love Civic Center. Or you can register the day of the event on July 21st from 6-8 a.m.
The tour starts at 8 a.m., after the All-You-Can-Eat Pancake Breakfast (cost is $5). Requirements are as follows: bikes must be in good working order, helmets are required, riders are encouraged to carry water, pumps, tubes, and tools, and they are responsible for their own repairs. There will be a bike clinic on July 17th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Bywaters Park, to help prepare your bikes for the tour.
General registration fees are as follows:
- Adults are $30 until the 20th; event day cost is $35
- 12 and under are $12 until the 20th; event day cost is $15
- Tandem are $45 until the 20th; event day cost is $55
There will be prizes given through the day and local hotels are offering special prices for riders that you can see here!
