2012 Zombie Walk Crew Meets At YWCA

This Article Brought To You By:

On Saturday September 8th, 2012 a meeting was held at the YWCA of Paris to discuss the details on the upcoming Zombie Walk at this year’s Festival of Pumpkins on October 27th. Coordinator Clint McMillan along with many volunteers bounced ideas back and forth that would help raise funds for Safe-T/YWCA and the Red River Valley Veterans Memorial. The YWCA is looking forward to introducing a new safe house for women in need and the funds raised from the Zombie Walk will help kick start this much needed project. Last year, the Zombie Walk made a major impression on the Festival of Pumpkins and this year we expect it to be at least three times bigger and better! Live music from two local bands will follow the walk; Shallow Edge and Six Bullet Roulette will provide the zombie tunes. As we grow closer to the undead madness, sponsors are creeping out from every dark corner! Many major sponsors have already signed on. Toyota of Paris and Scion have stepped up to insure a spectacular turnout, and Texas Frightmare Weekend have sunk their teeth into some hefty donations. You can bet that everyone in Paris, Texas will be ready for the freak show this year and InParisTexas.com will be there to bring the ultimate Zombie Walk footage. It’s ok to be scared of thousands of zombies, we are afraid of them to!
