And the Winner of the $5000 Giveaway Is…
Congratulations goes out to Bonnie Knight, for winning the $5000 Giveaway. The drawing took place downtown here in Paris, Texas. Festivities began at 5:30 this evening and concluded with the drawing and announcement of the $5000 Giveaway earlier than 7, due to the rain. Paris Texas residents were encouraged to buy from the downtown businesses as well as other businesses that participated starting on June 17th. For every $10 that was spent as the participating retailers, customers received a ticket for the Giveaway. The business gave customers tickets, that in turn were used to determine who would qualify to win the big prize.
The Chisum cheerleaders squad walked around, selling water bottles for $1. Wyatt Bowden served as DJ for the 2011 Summer Chamber Giveaway.
