Faith Williams, a beautiful lady, with an entire city embracing her at a time of need will be astonished at the outpouring of charity in her honor. On Saturday, August 18th at The Paris Golf & Country Club a benefit was held for her. Live and silent auctions had hearts and wallets open as many of her loved ones and supporters gathered for an evening of entertainment. Blue Suitcase performed as The Country Club served a delicious dinner for the many generous contributors. Team Faith-Paris, Texas rallied together with the intent of saving lives. Everyone was invited to “Be the Match” as DNA samples were taken in an effort to match specific donors for Bone Marrow Transplants.
Loving people from all over the area flooded the Paris Golf & Country Club to be a part of this endeavor. We spoke with Mr. Donnie Williams & his family and they were delighted to feel the embrace of their loved ones in this time of need.
“Faith Williams is a wife, a devoted daughter, mother of 3 children, friend and longtime resident of Paris, Texas. She has been a faithful employee of the Liberty National Bank for 20 years. She enjoys spending time with her family, boating, camping, fishing, and chasing the kids as they participate in their team sports. Faith and her family are long-time members of the Paris Church of God where she and her husband Donnie actively participate in the music department.
Faith has been diagnosed with Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia. She has recently received a bone marrow (stem cell) transplant to hopefully cure her of this fatal blood disease. The Williams family called out to their family and friends to determine whether they are a match for the thousands of other patients with similar life threatening diseases.”
Friends and family heard the call as hundreds signed up for the mouth swab test!
We wish the Williams family God Speed as they endure the daily struggle of putting this behind them. Faith has a lot of life to live and with the help of our generous donors, life will be given to the many others in need.
