Buffalo Joe’s Rocked by Done Deals and Alex Addy & Tambourine Machine

Buffalo Joe’s was rocked to the sounds of two of the best bands in Paris, Texas on February 10th 2012. The Done Deals electrified the room playing songs off of the self-titled album released back in November 2011. The powerful Americana set included “Surrender”, “Chupacabra”, “River Sabine”, and “Hugo”. This amazing 4 member “Texas Noir” style band consisting of Jennifer Long – Vocals, Guitar, Mandolin, Kit Lindsey – Bass, Cornet, Guitar, Back-up Vocals, Matt Allen – Drums/Percussion, and Josh Weger – Accordion, Guitar, Cornet, Guitjo  gave us an unforgettable  earshot of “Favorite” by Neko Case.  Don’t miss this band’s next performance at Andy’s Bar in Denton, Texas on Feb. 25th.

The headlining band of the night was eager to jump into the light and give the crowd a high energy night of music. Alex Addy & The Tambourine Machine had fans clustered directly in front of the stage area as they peaked out the sound system with their unique sound involving an aggressive mixture of sweet island sounds and sheer rock n’ roll overtones. This seasoned band of musicians performed magically while keeping the party going, rocking out songs including “For What It’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield, “The Distance” by Cake, and an awesome rendition of “Rocket Man” by Elton John just to name a few. As the drinks were poured and good times were rolling, The Tambourine Machine gave us all a sneak peak of a couple of songs off of their new project. Look for “Better Man”, and “Clementine” to be added to the collection of Tambourine Machine madness on the next record.
