Southern Country music has been taking an energetic turn in the past few years and David Grace has called shotgun! On November 17th, 2012 Three Brothers Drafthouse in Sun Valley, Texas was along for a musical ride. Slated to take the stage was a double shot of Texas trio talent.
Kicking the night off right were members of local country sensation “Old Miller Sideshow”. Gabe Moore, Aaron Olds, and Trey Rosenthal saddled up for a musical midnight run. Playing familiar songs like “Texas to You” by Johnny Cooper, “Wave on Wave” by Pat Green, and a twisted rendition of R. Kelly’s Ignition set the party in motion. Old Miller Side Show has an arsenal of original music as well. Be on the lookout for an upcoming release with amazing tracks like “Give You a Ring” in the near future.
As the suds were sipped the party was in full effect, David Grace & Company plugged in and cranked up the volume for an explosive set. The dance floor was swaying to the acoustical sounds of this unmatchable 3 piece. David dawned the cheek fuzz behind a bet he had made with a couple of his buddies. Philip Griffin & Clayton Gardner bet him that he couldn’t go without shaving until February. If he wins, he will receive 24 cans of his favorite brew. The beard seemed to add to the show as the group blasted out tunes like “Home” by Marc Brossard. Being no stranger to the pen and paper, David introduced several original tunes including a new surefire hit entitled “Convicted Man”.
