Downtown Paris Businesses Hold WassailFest 2012

When you think of Christmas time goodies the flavors that come to mind are cinnamon, cloves, and apples. Celebrating the sweetness of health this holiday season everyone gathered around downtown Paris, Texas to judge the multitude of recipes brewed up by 12 businesses around the square at “WASSAILFEST 2012”. We strolled around the beautiful plaza to sample the delicious apple concoctions. We were given a score card listing all of the stops. Paris Baby, Spangler’s, Paris Texas Pecan Company, Soho, Ewenique, Green Boutique, Paris Bakery, Jaxx Burgers, Vital Beet, Laura Snider Photography, Two Rivers/Lillian Kelley’s, and Itsy Bitsy Spider all served up their unique blend of Wassail. Parisians scored according to their own pallet and we registered to win a gift basket. Our personal favorite was Ewenique’s orange delight! Wassail is the perfect holiday drink and we had a wonderful time at Wassailfest 2012.
