Ducks Unlimited Comes to Paris September 22nd
Ducks Unlimited first started back in 1937 when the Dust Bowl killed off most of the waterfowl population. An organization was formed, that would conserve habits. Ducks Unlimited is the world’s largest private waterfowl conservation organization. They work with landowners, agencies, science communities, and private individuals to carry out their mission.
Ducks Unlimited helps to restore, conserve, and manage wetlands, to protect the habitats of waterfowl. DU is a grassroots, volunteer organization. DU hosts more than 4000 fundraising events like banquets, shooting and fishing tournaments, and golf outings.
September 22nd, at Paris Country Club, the 49th Annual Ducks Unlimited Banquet will be happening from 6 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. There will be drinks, food, raffles, guns, and fellowship with other outdoor enthusiasts.
Ducks Unlimited of Texas has over 47,000 memberships. They raised over $3300 with their fundraising events this year. Over 200,000 acres have been conserved.
