Gene Watson Ignites Choctaw Casino Stage

This Article Brought To You By:

The Choctaw Casino in Grant Oklahoma was packed with fans as Gene Watson and the Farewell Party Band ignited the stage with pure Country Music melody. Mr. Watson is celebrating 50 years in the business and is still as vocally fresh as a summer’s day. Gene personally invited the Paris Live Open Mic crew to the concert with front row tickets! We witnessed the ever powerful talent of this amazing Country Music Legend up close and personal. The guys hit us with a set of heartfelt hits including “Paper Rosie”, “Change Her Mind”, and “The Old Man and His Horn” (see video below). It is always a delight to witness the awesome power behind Gene’s voice, and as he was accompanied by The Farewell Party Band we were blown away by their ability to keep real country music alive.

We appreciate the hospitality of Gene Watson and the Choctaw Casino. Don’t miss the next local G.W. performance on September 25th at the Red River Valley Fair, with a special presentation of a street named after the most successful music artist from Paris Texas.

Celebrate 50 years with Gene Watson
