With friends, family, and loved ones all around, George Graber was blessed with a benefit in his honor. On January 26th, 2013 people flocked to the Eagles Lodge in Paris, Texas for a day of loving charity. George Graber has been diagnosed with Cancer and since then has been unable to work. As a wrecker truck driver, George was up every morning with the birds to provide for his family.
The Lodge was packed with people, eager to lend a hand to this amazing family. Live music from Ace Deuce, Jeremy Phifer, and Lori Nixon & the Gilleans filled the place as Super Dave emceed the event. Delicious burgers were provided by Jerry Pitcock and his crew. Several action items were bid on an many were donated back to be bid on again. It was a day to remember as over 2,000 dollars was raised for George’s family.
This is exactly what community is all about. We commend everyone involved in this benefit and are proud to live in a city filled with this much love for our fellow man.
