Gypsy Nation Motorcycle Raises Money & Toys For Christmas

This holiday season, we have seen many organizations come to the aid of families in need. The Gypsy Nation Motorcycle Club, established in 1933, has taken on many charitable callings. The Paris Chapter has been collecting funds and gifts for the less fortunate in our community since 2006. They held a musical event at Crosswire on Saturday December 17th to raise yet even more funds. Two bands performed throughout the night in hopes to collect toys and funds by holding a raffle for a $500 gift card.

Blackland opened the show with a set of songs including “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd, “Kiss An Angel Good Morning” by Charley Pride, and “Lord I Lift Your Name On High” by Rick Foundes. They also impressed everyone with a couple of original tunes called “Frognot Blues”, and “Cowyboy’s Last Ride”.

The headlining band was awesome! The Toby Moore Band has sparked up some musical chatter in our area. Consisting of Toby Moore – lead vocals/guitar, Ben Moore – Lead Guitar, Brock Bradshaw – Bass, and Colin Chilson on Drums, these guys know how to bring the fire to a winterized stage. jamming out songs like “Kiss me in The dark”, by The Randy Rogers Band, “Wild Horses by The Rolling Stones, and “Fast As You” by Dwight Yoakam. They also brought originality to the stage with “Austin” by Colin Chilson, and “Anywhere But Here” and original written by the band. If you get a chance to see this band live make sure you bring your party face!

The Gypsy MC filled the toy box and money jar at this amazing event. “It is so humbling to be a part of such a great organization”, said President “Jumpy. We work closely with Models Of The Maker.  ”We make sure that each child in the family is bought for according to their preferences and needs.” We em-power the parents by giving the purchased items to them to give to the children”. This instills respect for the parent from the child and in turn teaches the child to be respectful in other situations throughout life”. No Matter where you came from life is what you make of it”.
