High Strung Bluegrass Provides Cool Sounds for Hot Summer Nights
The sultry summer days can be unbearable at times thank heavens there is a place to relax in the cool bluegrass! Every Tuesday, High Strung Bluegrass at 18 W. Hearne opens up its doors and stage for everyone to enjoy the sweet sounds of music. Many musicians from all over the area flock to the tiny dive to take part in the weekly jam. People like Bo Creighton, John Westbrook, Ginger Raider, Chuck Harper, Shirley Charles, and Pat Conrad enjoy the comfort of good old Bluegrass tunes. Among the many soulful songs were “Lay Your Head on My Shoulder”, “When you’re Lonely”, and “Butterfly” just to name a few. This amazing spot is one of the only venues in our area that keeps the genre of bluegrass alive. Whether you are a fan of bluegrass or a musician that is interested in an evening full of good times and great nostalgic music, come on out to High Strung Bluegrass.
