Itsy Bitsy Spider Relocates to Downtown Paris
The Itsy Bitsy Spider isn’t just a popular children’s rhyme but a trendy store that has donned Paris for the past five and a half years with baby gifts of all kinds and children’s clothing. Robin Weemes, store owner, finally decided to move Itsy Bitsy Spider downtown from the Tejas Plaza when she was able to purchase a building. The idea of being by other small businesses was ideal and the downtown location also provided more space for inventory. With so much happening in the downtown area, you may not have known that Itsy Bitsy Spider officially opened at the downtown location on October 5th.
If you have never visited Itsy Bitsy Spider, you can stop by Monday through Thursday from 10-5:30 or on Friday from 10-5. The store is an all-in-one shop with the option of clothing items or gifts for baby and mom-to-be. Itsy Bitsy Spider carries girl sizes up to 16 and up to 10/12 for boys. Robin listens to what the patrons of Paris want for their kids and gets most of her merchandise from the Dallas Market Center. “Paris likes trendy,” and that’s exactly what Robin offers. While you can find regular everyday clothing and gifts, you can also find unique items such as angel wings made from the same manufacturer that makes the Victoria’s Secret angel wings, pregnancy pops, and handmade blankets for baby.
You may also notice the kayaks that are displayed outside Itsy Bitsy Spider. For the men that visit the store, Robin’s husband has a kayak store in the back. Not long ago, the couple took up the hobby of kayaking and it turned into a passion. Single and double kayaks are available for purchase. You can also get wet suits and water accessories.
Robin says she is very grateful for her customers and her business has exceeded all of her expectations. Her future goals may involve opening another store in another town but at the moment, she is enjoying unpacking her inventory in her new location. You can contact Itsy Bitsy Spider at 903-785-KIDS (5437) or stop by yourself to see all the great items the store has to offer.
