Jeremy Phifer’s “When It Rains It Pours” CD Celebration Release Party at Depot
When it rains, it pours! The celebration for the release of Jeremy Phifer’s latest record “When it Rains it Pours” was packed with friends, family, and fans. Jeremy Phifer & the Texas Badwater Band showed The Depot in Paris, Texas the right way to party.
Opening the night of music was local scene newcomer Ryan Williams. This guy kicked it off right with a handful of familiar tunes like “Wagon Wheel” by Old Crow Medicine Show, “Steal You Away” by Randy Rogers, and “Yesterday Road” by Great Divide”. Keep your eye on this talented artist from Bagwell, Texas.
In the supporting slot were a well-known handful of misfits known as “Old Miller Sideshow”. Gabe Moore, Aaron Olds, Trey Rosenthal, and Dakota Miller make up one of our most energetic local collections of musicians. They guys have built a musical mountain with their ability to rock a little country! We were blown away by their on-stage energy and power behind original songs including “Give You a Ring”, “Give Me Till Then”, and “Montague Country”. The band impressed everyone introducing a rendition of “Texas to You” by Johnny Cooper. Ending their set with Aaron shredding on a little Lynyrd Skynyrd, Old Miller Sideshow pumped up the crowd for the guest of honor.
Jeremy Phifer has been a country music pillar. Keeping the spirit of real country music alive with his style derived from many of the country music greats, Jeremy has made his mark with his latest back road masterpiece called “When it Rains it Pours”. The Depot was in for a night of swaying on the dance floor to a sound that only Jeremy Phifer & the Texas Badwater Band can produce. The celebration was in full effect as the guys blasted out original cuts from the new album like “Devil in Disguise”, “Cigarettes & Gasoline”, and current hit on Paris Live Open Mic “18 and Crazy”. Jeremy and the gang also gave us a few rocked out cover tunes like “Purple Rain” by Prince, and “I Don’t Want This Night To End” by Luke Byran.
It was a night of good times with great new music exploding onto our scene and we were there to capture it all!
