Lamar County Gifts of Love

Lamar County Human Resources Council (LCHRC) and RSVP are working together to let the local community know about Gifts of Love, which kicked off November 1st. Gifts of Love allows Meals on Wheels recipients to receive gifts for Christmas. This works similar to the Angel Tree. The recipient has made a wish list of items they would like or need for Christmas. The information is put onto a adoption card. People can anonymously provide for the recipients. When people make purchases, these items are arranged to be collected or delivered. Watch InParisTexas for more information about donation sites and dates.

If you would like to know more information about Gifts of Love, please call Tanteta or Amber at (903) 784-2580 or Susan Kahn at (903) 737-4320. If you are unable to buy any gifts, you can donate money or even generic, non-gender specific items.

The adoption cards have been ready since November 1st and now is a great time to start getting involved. The We Care Broadcast will take place at Paris Coffee Co from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on November 8th. All of the gifts and donations are due December 5th. You can drop off items or money to the Lamar County Human Resources Counci or RSVP. On December 16th, the Gifts of Love delivery is slated to start at 9 a.m.

Help elderly, disabled, homebound people in our community this Christmas. Give a Gift of Love!
