Mark Allan Atwood & Brimstone Light Up Three Brothers Drafthouse

This Article Brought To You By:

Mark Allan Atwood & Brimstone Three Brothers Drafthouse March 2013Three Brothers Drafthouse was in flames as Mark Allan Atwood & Brimstone ignited the stage on Friday, March 8th.  Hailing from Central Texas, this 4 piece ensemble brought their country roots and electric flare to Paris, Texas. “Blending a foundation built on old school country, metal, jazz fusion and certainly blues, the members of Brimstone come from all over the musical map, but have all found themselves comfortably creating great new sounds in the land of the armadillo.” Many of the greats influence their powerful style including Brooks & Dunn, Merle Haggard, and Marshall Tucker Band, Mark Allan Atwood & Brimstone have re-introduced a style that has been collecting dust.  Their set was packed with original tunes that are the perfect edition to your back-road cruise. Among the many that grabbed my ear were “And Whiskey”, “Devil’s Angel”, my personal favorite Willie Nelson inspired number entitled “Ghost”. With yearly record releases since 2010, Mark has been stomping the Texas music stage breathing life into every town he plays. The Texas Troubadour has the credentials that document his accomplishments along the way including the 2010 A Rising Star Award, the 2012 TMA Texas Award, 2012 Vocal Duo of the Year Nominee, as well as a nomination for 2012 Texas State Musician. If you missed this show at Three Brothers Drafthouse, you missed one of the best country music performances since the doors opened. Tune in to Paris Live Open Mic on  this Wednesday night as we will be introducing the band to our listeners!
