Meet Petco’s Featured Critters: Ferrets

Our local Petco store is the perfect place to interact with multiple species of animals. On Saturday September 15th and 16th, 2012 Paris Petco introduced the Ferret as its spotlight pet. Moms, Dads, and kids piled in to get up close to these little cuties. We all learned that ferrets are little mischievous critters, but very intelligent. They can be taught to roll over, fetch, and even use a litter box! Originally from Europe these furry and adorable creatures make wonderful pets. We also learned that Ferrets are born deaf and are completely white at birth. The best part about this edition of “Meet the Critters” was the look on the children’s faces when store associate Stacey Sikes encouraged them to pet these unique cousins of the weasel.
The Paris Petco is involved in many animal endeavors. Working closely with the Lamar County Humane Society, this family friendly business has helped find homes for hundreds of unwanted pets. Stop by the store at 3900 Lamar Ave. and experience their love for animals yourself.
