The Paris, Texas music scene has been thriving this summer and The Depot has been a mainstay when it comes to the hottest shows around! This installment of electrified party tunes was provided by Justin Bowerman and Merrol Ray & the Regulators.
Kicking off the night of rocked out country was Justin Bowerman. Playing tracks off of his latest release entitled “Rock You”, Justin and the boys carved their mark into the walls of The Depot. Among the many amazing original songs in the set list were “4th of July, Deer Meat, and title track “Rock You”. With a sound deriving from many Texas Country, Rock, and Blues influences, Justin Bowerman & company blasted out covers like “Yesterday Road” by Great Divide, and “Cry Lonely” by Cross Canadian Ragweed.
The runway was cleared and ready for takeoff as Merrol Ray & the Regulators plugged in and cranked up the volume! Merrol & the Gang have been up and down the asphalt to bring the rockin’ country madness that everyone craves. If it’s a party you want these guys deliver as they pour out their powerful potion of sonic sound. Among the many original guitar driven numbers were “Flesh Train”, “Eddie’s Song”, and “Big Karma”. Being a full on party band, Merrol Ray & the Regulators are flawless when it comes to covers. The crowd went insane as the guys jammed out “You Wreck Me” by Tom Petty. If you haven’t had the chance to check out the “Stanley” album yet, it is a must have for your summertime shindigs.
