Michael O’Neal and Jonathan Jeter Folk It Up at the Depot
This Article Brought To You By:
The Depot in Paris, Texas has been Folkin’ Free all month long! This weekly installment of Folk & Roll tunes come from an unusual duo of talented musicians. Michael O’Neal “The Lamar County Godfather of Folk” along with regional country star Jonathan Jeter swapped songs as the refreshments were poured. Jonathan Jeter hailing from Greenville, Texas performed with the soul that only an acoustic guitar can bring out. A few of our favorites of the evening were “Lay Your Money Down”, “Dallas”, and a rendition of a Ryan Adams song called “Come Pick Me Up”. Mr. O’Neal was full of surprises as he introduced not only favorites like “The Gambler’s Lament”, and “The Vet”, but two brand new tunes called “If and When”, and “5×7’s”. We were very impressed by the diversity in styles the guys had and there seemed to be a much needed mellow atmosphere at The Depot.
