“Our Town” Comes to Our Town Soon
Rehearsals have already begun for Paris Community Theatre to prepare for “Our Town”. This play will be shown on September 30th, October 1st & 2nd, and October 6-9th. This is the second time that PCT has produced Thornton Wilder’s classic story about an American family.
The company this year includes: Mike & Ashley Pickering, John P. Wright, Tray, Kelly, Madison, and Robby Turner, Paul Dearinger, Donna Smith, Kenneth Clark, Renea Mitchell, Jimmy Tuggle, Juan Espinosa, Amy Brawwell-Burrows, Joshua and Cate Maxwell, and Garret and Greg Wlson.
Our Town is a play told in three acts, about a town’s people in the early 20th century. Characters for the play include: Mrs. Myrtle Webb, Emily Webb, Dr. Frank F. Gibbs, Simon Stimson, Howie Newsome, Professor Willard, among many others. Our Town first debuted in Wilbur Theater in Boston, Massachusetts in 1938.
