Paris Harley-Davidson Chili Cook-Off

With the stage set up, bikes everywhere, and the smell of chili in the air Paris Harley Davidson once again hosted the largest cook-off in North East Texas! People came from miles around to take part in the spiciest festival in Paris, Texas. There were 21 entrants in all hoping to capture the 1st place title. Peoples Bank, Cypress Home Care, Red Hot Chili Chicks, Good Bull Chili, Cha Ching Chili, Shake-n-Bake Chili, Paris Chevrolet, Wells Fargo Advisors, Evil Chili, Big Daddy’s Hot-n-Spicy Chili, Brotherhood Warriors Chili, North East Texas Biker Church, Suddenlink, Team Hodge, Cass for Sheriff, North East Texas Fab, Sweet Peas Backwoods Chili, Good to be King Chili, Beer Man Chili, Wolf Brand Chili, and Big Texas Red Chili presented their concoctions to thousands of eager chili lovers. Musical entertainment was provided by The Triptones, along with David Whiteman & the Experience. Wine tasting was available from Homestead Winery while Buffalo Joe’s kept everyone cool in the beer garden with their famous ice-cold refreshments. The most beautiful part about the event was right behind Cavender’s. A replica of the Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial is set up in honor of our fallen heroes. This beautiful 400 ft traveling monument was surrounded by people throughout the whole day. The organizers of this worthy project say the memorial is to remind future generations that the freedom we enjoy was not free. It was purchased, in wartime, by great sacrifice and agony on the part of lost or injured veterans and their grieving families back home as well as in peace time by veterans who put their lives and careers on hold to serve their country. As the gorgeous weather had the Harley parking lot buzzing, we all anticipated the announcing of the 10th Annual Paris Honda Yamaha Harley Davidson Chili Cook-Off winners. Wyatt Bowden from Fullblast! Productions emceed the entire event with the honor of announcing the winner. With fingers crossed and eyes fixated on the stage, Wyatt riled the crowd up announcing…
