Paris Texas Antique Fair
The Paris Texas Antique Fair is going on now! Today, October 28th and tomorrow, Saturday the 29th, the Red River Valley Fairgrounds is overrun with antique dealers, antique lovers, and more. If you bring your husband, you can “park” him in front of the big TV in one of the Exhibit buildings. In that same building, you can get your coffee on with That Guy’s Coffee, whose goods will lure you to his table just by the aroma that lingers. You can get your sweet on with Swirlz Bakery Boutique and their many delicious cupcakes, or Sweet D’s Confections has chocolates for sale. Crawford’s Hole in the Wall has their food ready to sell to hungry customers, and the Holy Cross Church is there selling their lunch and dinner wares as well. Callihan’s Steak & Que has mouthwatering barbecued goodies. You can also get your hands on some fine wine thanks to Paris Winery.
The first building gives you a taste of what is to come, but the main building is filled with antique collectibles, jewelry, dolls, china, clothing, linen, antique vendors, and of course more antiques. Local businesses like Two Rivers Antiques, who dreamed this event up and is hosting it, has a great spread of unique and beautiful items. Junk Divas is there as well, along with the Huckleberry, and more, and if you can’t find what you’re looking for at the Fair, you can always head downtown, thanks to the Antiquing Map that you can get a copy of at the Fair. There are out of town antique dealers that are showing their wares. With so many great places to go antiquing here in Paris, you don’t have to just go downtown, you can find it at the Paris Texas Antique Fair.
Don’t forget that after shopping winds down at 8 p.m., you can get prettied up and head to the Two Rivers Two Steppin’ Vintage Prom. Stop by the photo booth that Tara Swain is running, from 6 to 10 p.m. Pictures are $15 per person, and you can pick up your pictures on disc, from Two Rivers Antiques. The Prom will have live music and the Buffalo Joe’s will be there with their Beer Garden. The Done Deal will be playing live from 6-7 p.m. Spencer Williams performs from 7-8. The Gentle Giants play from 8-9 p.m. and the Michael O’Neal Band will finish the Vintage Prom, playing from 9-11. Admission is free. And tomorrow, you have more antiques, along with the Modern Autobody Vintage Car Show.
InParisTexas’ Robbie Gunn will be coming out for the live music portion of the event, so say hi!
