Party with Paris Live Open Mic at Crosswire
Paris, Texas is bursting with entertainment as the neon lights spark up the good times. From local comedy & theatre to drag racing & live music, there is always something happening. On Friday the 13th, 2013 the Paris Live Open Mic crew settled in at Crosswire to share some of the amazing local music selections that been submitted into the archive over the past few years. The superstitious holiday didn’t keep Super Dave, Autumn and myself along with Kenny Clark from 104.3 the River from spinning an all-genre mix of local music originals. If you are familiar with “PLOM” then you already know that throughout the night a pile of prizes were given out from the many generous sponsors that support our scene. For the cherry on top of it all were performances by a handful of hometown pickers. Josh Payne jammed out a list of tunes and had the bar buzzing! Jerey Phifer & the Texas Badwater band ran through a few of their originals and performed acoustically for the first time on stage. To end the live segment of the evening, bartender Stacy B grabbed a mic for a duet with Jeremy and the couple had hands together.
All of us at Paris Live Open Mic appreciate the support from our listeners and the invite from Crosswire to do what we do every Wednesday night on 104.3 the River & www.ParisLive.org LIVE!!! We had a blast!
