Plaza Grass Progress

A couple of days ago, Red River Landscaping Inc. started laying down new sod around the downtown plaza. The Paris Mainstreet and Downtown Association have been raising money to help pay for the $7000+ contract that will re-grass the less than grassy area around Culbertson Fountain in the square. There are still businesses downtown that are raising money to also help pay for the area around Farmer’s Market.

For the next 3 weeks, everyone has to stay OFF the Grass!

If you would like to donate money for this cause, please stop by the following downtown businesses:

  • Bar Lo Kennels
  • Bowden’s
  • Capitol One
  • Daniel Frame Studio
  • eParis
  • First Federal Community Bank
  • Gallery on 1st
  • Green Boutique
  • Hi-Teck Computers
  • InParisTexas
  • Junk Divas
  • Lamar County Chamber of Commerce
  • Lillian Kelley’s Design
  • LMAO Comedy
  • Main Trading Company
  • Modern Autobody
  • Paris Baby
  • Paris Creations & Custom Keepsakes
  • Side Street Antiques
  • SoHo
  • Spangler’s
  • That Guy’s Coffee
  • Two Rivers Antiques
  • Vital Beet

A square of grass only costs $2.50, so if this is something you would like to be a part of, do it! You can also go to Movies In the Park, Thursday nights this summer at Bywaters Park, as some of this money will be towards re-grassing the Plaza.
