Mexican type casserole; good for the whole family
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef, salted
- 1 clove garlic
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ lb. cheese, grates (2 cups)
- 1½ cup water
- 1 to 2 Tablespoons chili powder
- 2 cans tomato sauce or salsa
- 6 to 9 corn tortillas
- 1 medium onion
- black olives (optional)
Instructions
- Brown meat and drain.
- Add water, salt, onion, sauces, and spices; simmer for 20 minutes.
- Spread sour cream on tortillas. Make 3 layers: with tortillas (sour cream side up), meat, then cheese.
- Repeat this layer twice more in 9 x 9-inch pan or 2-quart baking dish.
- Bake at 350 ° for 20 minutes or until cheese melts.
