Relay for Life of Lamar County 2012 in Pictures
The 2012 Relay for Life of Lamar County took place last night and this morning. 40 teams participated this year, with over 404 people taking part. Before the Relay even started, almost $15,000 was raised. There were so many things to do, with the special speakers and music, games, competitions, and the many many fundraisers that were going on.
It was a great turnout! Over $50,000 was raised for the American Cancer Society and anyone who wants to donate can still do so until August 30th. Remember that every penny goes into fighting cancer and researching it, to put an end to cancer.
