Tyi Leonard Jamfest Benefit
When a tragedy befalls us we all look to friends and family to bring us out of the dark. A benefit in Roxton, Texas was held to bring a fellow music lover out of the shadows. Tyi Leonard (a student of Roxton High School) has so many people surrounding him that believe in his courage, strength , and commitment. Tyi was injured in a tragic car wreck that left him paralyzed. The courageous young man devotes every day to his therapy and recovery. Music surrounded Roxton, Texas as Merrol Ray & The Regulators, Michael O’Neal, Ryan Booth, Delta Crossroads, Krissy Green, Zack Jones, C.C.Cross, Connor Reese, Josh Derling, and Shannon Jones joined together to generate funds for this amazing cause. Tyi has been in the hospital quite a bit and will continue to have a lot of needed care. Before the accident Tyi was a very active young man that enjoyed all sports and loved to hunt. Tyi is a very optimistic young man that will continue to be active in all that he loves. Every musical act that graced the stage in his honor received a commemorative plaque that expressed his gratitude.
