Watkins Family Martial Arts Academy Battle of Atlanta World Championship Fundraiser
The Watkins Family Martial Arts Academy’s Crawfish Boil Fundraiser brought everyone in from out of the rain! Originally slated for May 11, 2012 at the WFMAA the event had to be moved to the Coliseum at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds due to the weather. People from all over the area flooded the fairgrounds to support the students of the amazing martial arts studio, enjoy some crawfish and hear some good ol’ blues music provided by The Billion Dollar Blues Band. The outstanding group of role-model musicians fit right in as young & old buzzed about to their bluesy tunes. Songs like “Rout 66” “Low Rider”, and “Who do you love” were familiar to everyone. The BDBB jammed on a few original beauties like “Thicker than Water”!
The children all were having a blast! A few students like Muchien Hang demonstrated their weaponry skills for the crowd while burgers, hotdogs, and delicious craw daddies were served up. The Watkins Family was excited to see all of the family and supporters gather for the cause. These children deserve the chance to display all of the lessons that martial arts has taught them, and the proceeds from this entertaining event will go towards that chance at The Battle of Atlanta World Championship.
“The Watkins family would like to send out a warm THANK YOU to all of the staff and parents that helped to make it all possible. BIG Thanks to the Billion Dollar Blues Band. Popeye’s, Brookshire’s, and Kroger were all appreciated for their generous contributions.”
We are proud to have Watkins Family Martial Arts Academy as sponsors of InParisTexas.com and wish them all the best in the Championship. WFMAA prides itself in being the ultimate in providing confidence, self-discipline, as well as self-defense.
